Booking and prices
How much does it cost to play floor is lava in Singapore?
A game at Lava Floor costs $13 a person on weekdays and $17 a person on weekends and public holidays. That covers one 25-minute game in one of our two LED rooms at Marina Square. Book online to pick your time.
Do I need to book?
Book online if you want a particular time. Walk-ins are welcome too, whenever a room is free.
Can I change my booking?
Yes, you can move the date and time up to 1 day before your game. On the day itself it can't be moved, and a same-day cancellation isn't refunded.
What if we're late or can't make it?
You lose the minutes you're late, because another group may be booked straight after you. We don't refund late arrivals, cancellations or no-shows.
How can I pay?
PayNow, cash and credit card.

Playing
How do you play floor is lava?
At Lava Floor you play on a room of 306 LED tiles. Green tiles are safe. Step on every blue tile to clear the level. Red tiles are lava, and each touch costs your team a life. Clear every level before your 25 minutes run out.
How long is a game?
Every game at Lava Floor lasts 25 minutes. Your team tries to clear every level of the game you picked before time runs out. Epic Lava has 25 levels and 99 Lava has 99, so teams going for 99 Lava often book two sessions back to back.
How many people can play?
Lava Floor takes everyone from duos to big groups. We have two rooms at Marina Square, each 5.5 by 5 metres, and for a company event we plan the session around your headcount, so tell us how many are coming.
Can two people play floor is lava?
Yes. Duos are welcome at Lava Floor, and plenty of couples play together. With two of you on the floor, call out which blue tile you're taking and split the room between you.
How many lives do we get?
Lives are per level, and the number depends on the game. Casual gives 10 lives a level, 99 Lava gives 5, and Epic Lava, Hell Lava and most other games give 6. Your whole team shares them, and if you lose them all, that level restarts.
Can we choose the difficulty?
The game you pick sets the difficulty. Casual is the easiest, Epic Lava is the standard 25-level game, Hell Lava is for teams who've beaten Epic Lava, and 99 Lava has 99 levels.
Is there a leaderboard?
Yes. Every game at Lava Floor has its own leaderboard, so your team can see how its run compares with other teams who played the same game.
Can we finish 99 Lava in one go?
It's hard in 25 minutes. Most teams who want to finish it book two sessions back to back.
Kids and safety
What is the minimum age to play the floor is lava game in Singapore?
Players at Lava Floor must be 6 or older. Children under 13 must come with a paying adult, so book a place for the adult too. We can't let a group of children play on their own. Kids usually start on Casual, our easiest game, which gives 10 lives a level.
Is there a game for young kids?
Yes. Casual gives 10 lives a level, so it's the best place for kids to start.
Do we need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Everyone signs a waiver at the counter when you arrive. Come 10 minutes early so it doesn't eat into your game.
Any rules for children?
Please make sure kids don't jump into or kick the walls. It damages the partition walls and disturbs our neighbours, and we may have to end the game early and ask for compensation.
At the venue
Where is Lava Floor?
Lava Floor is at Marina Square, 6 Raffles Boulevard, #03-149, Singapore 039594, on level 3. Esplanade MRT on the Circle Line is the nearest station and connects to the mall through Marina Link. Promenade and City Hall MRT connect to the mall too.
What are your opening hours?
Lava Floor at Marina Square is open daily, 12noon to 9pm. Each game lasts 25 minutes, so book online if you want a particular time.
What should I wear?
Covered shoes with thin soles and clothes you can move in. Crocs, slippers, high heels and running shoes with thick soles don't work, because the tiles can't sense your feet through them.
Can we bring food or drinks?
No food or drinks inside. There are lockers for your bags.
Is Lava Floor at HarbourFront closed?
Yes, it's closed. We opened at HarbourFront Centre in May 2024 and later expanded to Marina Square, which is now our only outlet. You'll find us at 6 Raffles Boulevard, #03-149, a short walk from Esplanade MRT.
Groups and business
Can we do team building with floor is lava?
Yes. Everyone on the team shares the same lives, so people have to talk to each other to get through a level. Tell us your headcount and we'll plan the session.
What about bigger groups?
Tell us your headcount. We run both lava rooms side by side and can rotate a bigger group through Lockdown's escape rooms in the same unit.
Do you take school groups?
School, CCA and learning-journey groups are handled by The Escape Artist at theescapeartist.sg.
Do you sell corporate memberships?
