Floor is lava in JB: worth the trip?
The short answer
For a 25-minute game on its own, usually not. Twinkle Square in Johor Bahru charges about S$9.40 on weekdays against $13 at Lava Floor in Singapore, but a return trip on the KTM Shuttle Tebrau adds about S$6.57 a person before you get from JB Sentral to the mall. JB is worth it when you're already there for the day, or when you want a full hour of games at Mr. Player.

Adult prices on weekdays and weekends, converted at S$1 = RM3.19. Cost per minute divides each ticket by the game length, so you can compare a 15-minute game with a 25-minute one.

Mr. Player's hour covers every game in the venue, floor is lava included, so its per-minute figure is for the whole session. Kids aged 4 to 12 pay RM48 on weekdays and RM58 on weekends there.

None of these drop you at the venues. Twinkle Square is about a 35-minute drive from JB Sentral (Seth Lui). Mr. Player's Danga Bay outlet says it is a 7-minute drive from the CIQ checkpoint.
A worked example
Four adult tickets plus the KTM Shuttle Tebrau return trip, which is S$6.57 a person or S$26.28 for four. Rides between JB Sentral and the mall are left out, so the JB totals are the lowest they can be.

Weekends narrow the gap. Lava Floor's ticket goes up $4 on a weekend while the train fare stays the same, so Twinkle Square works out S$0.53 a person more than Lava Floor on a weekend, against S$2.97 on a weekday. Mr. Player's price buys an hour of every game in the venue, not one 25-minute game.
When the JB trip is worth it
You're already in JB
If you've crossed for shopping or food anyway, the transport is spent. A RM30 game is then cheaper than a Singapore one.
You want a long session
Mr. Player sells an hour across all its games. Per minute that's the lowest figure in the table, if your group will use the whole hour.
You're making a day of it
Twinkle Square is open 12pm to 12am, so a late game after dinner in JB is possible.
When Singapore makes more sense
You only want to play
For a 25-minute game, the KTM return fare of S$6.57 adds 60 to 70% to a Twinkle Square ticket, before the ride to the mall.
Your time is short
The train is 5 minutes, but immigration both ways and the trip to the mall are not. Lava Floor is a short walk from Esplanade MRT.
Someone in the group has no passport handy
Every JB plan needs one. A Marina Square game needs a pair of covered shoes.
You want 25 full minutes
JumpLah's game runs up to 15 minutes. Twinkle Square and Lava Floor both run 25.
What will change
The RTS Link between Woodlands North and Bukit Chagar is targeted to open by December 2026, with one-way fares expected around S$5 to S$7. The KTM Shuttle Tebrau is due to stop in mid-2027. Neither changes the ride from the station to the malls.
